A Great way to clear your mind of distraction.

[font=”Source Serif Pro”, serif]When I was little, mom used to threaten to wash our mouths out with soap for being ill mannered.  Today, I wish that she had the superpower to wash our minds out instead. 
You hear it at every seminar. Mind Power. You become your thoughts.  It sounds hectically complicated to a lot of people. For the majority of young people it is the same disconnect between this “mind” and mouth that causes all the trouble. The mouth is forced to speak politely and the mind feels in constant rebellion. What to do?
 Before you can control your thoughts, you need to be aware of them. This process can take immense practice of meditation, mindfulness and discipline. We KNOW you’re not going to do that. You’re too BUSY, right?
So here is a helpful little mind hack to work on every morning when you hit the shower. As soon as you hear the sound of water hitting the tiles, remind yourself to clean your mind out first. This is the most literal of all exercises. Picture every unproductive and unhelpful thought being dissolved away by the soap suds and washed down the drain.  Affirming, “Clean Body, Clean Mind! ” is a great way to start your day.  Brushing your teeth, wash out any negative words that you might use on yourself or others for the day. 
Physical actions work better to train the mind to a certain behavioural pattern. Try it everyday for a week and let me know how it works for you.
